When did that Happen?
That Coupon Lady

When Did that Happen?
I use coupons every time I go grocery shopping. Since becoming a super couponer, I shop differently at the stores. I only go in for what is at the lowest price and use a coupon to buy it. This way of shopping keeps my home very well stocked and I do not usually run out of anything.
Last week I really wanted some spinach artichoke dip. A necessary ingredient in this dip is cream cheese. I always buy at least 10 blocks of cream cheese when it is on sale because I use it often, for many recipes. I did not have any so I went grocery shopping with the cream cheese on my shopping list.
I grocery shopped my normal way of only getting what I had to have for the week and then only shopping the sales items with the special tags so I knew I was paying the lowest price possible. Then, I got to the dairy to get my cream cheese. I stood there in total shock. When did cream cheese reach a price of $2.50 for eight ounces on the national brand? The store brand was $1.75! I was stunned. I really wanted that spinach artichoke dip but as an avid super couponer, I could not bring myself to pay $2.50 for cream cheese. I would have to use my thawing spinach for something else.
