In the week that I have had this not-yet released album, I have listened to it countless times.  Hearing new things and finding new meanings in each song, it is Classic Country at its best.  Pictured above (from L-R) Cherrill Green, Hannah Blaylock and Dean Berner ~ They are Edens Edge.  Edens Edge possesses a unique musical blend deeply rooted in Country music, acoustic instrumentation and pure vocal harmonies.

Just last year they joined three major Country Music tours including Reba, Lady Antebellum and Brad Paisley.  This summer, Edens Edge will kick off their opening slot on Rascal Flatts “Changed Tour” as well as share a national platform with their labelmates for Outnumber Hunger, which helps secure meals for the 1 in 6 Americans that struggle to put a meal on the table every day.  The partnership between Big Machine Label Group, General Mills and Feeding America encourages consumers across the country while encouraging local outreach.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is releasing a deluxe edition that will also feature 3 exclusive tracks: Roots, Little Bird and Wherever I Go.

I do have a couple of favorites on this soundtrack and they are Skinny Dippin’ which is just all around a fun song.  Not too jazzy but still a really fun country beat.  Skinny Dippin’ is the story of a boy and a girl out in the country when their car breaks down.  You have to do something so just cool off skinny dippin’.  Totally country! Oh, to be young again.

I also really connected with Liar.  Ah, we all know one of those, don’t we?  Liar is a song about loving and losing.  Watching and feeling as someone leaves your life and enters into the life of somebody else.  We would not be able to appreciate love as much if we had not lost some at some point.

If Classic Country is on your list of must haves, I recommend picking up a copy of Edens Edge Debut Album.  I think you will really enjoy it.  Plus, as you know, with Feeding America tie-in, this is at the heart of what Nearly Nothing believes in: Feeding America.  I think it is great when a brand new rising star(s) will set aside ‘a little something’ for the regular folks out here.  I really believe you will like the unique sound of this album.
